AMARGOSA VALLEY

"Champagne Air & Million Dollar Sunsets"

UNINCORPORATED TOWN

LOCATION: South central Nevada

AREA: 545 square miles

AVERAGE ELEVATION: 2640 feet

Amargosa Valley is primarily comprised of large residential parcels. Area industry is mostly agricultural with one large dairy. There is some light manufacturing and one large parcel is being developed as an industrial park with some speculative building which includes a 20,000 sq. foot building suitable for many forms of industry.

The area is well situated on the Nevada Science and Technology Corridor. The Nevada Space Center and Industrial Center (with incubator) is planned for construction at the intersection of highways 95 and 373 in the south-eastern area which is close to NTS and Yucca Mountain access. Also under development in this area is the Jackass Flats Aero park which will improve existing airport facilities. High-capacity fiberoptic cabling is installed. The community planning effort calls for hi-tech and other industry along highways 95 and 373. Other land is available throughout the valley without the risk of residential encroachment.
